Wendy Clayton serves as the Director of Nursing for the Saint John Vianney Center
Wendy joined SJVC in February of 2020 as the Director of Nursing. She is responsible for ensuring nursing excellence through evidence-based practices in nursing process, patient safety, infection control, and patient education. Prior to SJVC, Wendy held several positions at Penn State Health St. Joseph over the last ten years. In her most recent experience in Quality and Performance Improvement, Wendy led the charge for successful accreditation of several clinical programs such as Chest Pain, Heart Failure, Sepsis, and Stroke. An important part of what Wendy brings to SJVC is her passion for nursing practice and patient centered care.
Wendy holds a Masters in Nursing from St. Joseph College of Maine and maintains her RN license through the State of Pennsylvania. In addition, Wendy holds national certifications as a Certified Case Manager and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. Wendy’s prior professional career is diverse and includes financial services, higher education, and healthcare fundraising. Wendy is available for professional speaking engagements on the topics of physical/medical wellness and care.
