Barry Simmons serves as the Director of Facilities at Saint John Vianney Center.
In this roll, he is responsible for ensuring the physical plant and grounds are kept in sound operating condition through the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and personally addressing the maintenance needs of the center. Barry acts as the Facility Safety Officer, as well as serving on several other committees including Patient Safety, Environment of Care, Hospital Operations, Performance Improvement, Infection Control, and the Employee Appreciation Committee.
As part of his director role, Barry manages housekeeping, maintenance, security, and transportation. Prior to his director appointment, he was the Facility Supervisor. Barry has served at the Saint John Vianney Center since 2016.
Barry earned an Associates Degree from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. For the better part of his career, he has worked in residential and commercial construction.
