Karen Cote

Karen M. Cote, IHM, Psy.D.

Sr. Karen Cote serves as the Director of Outpatient Services as of October 2019. Sister Karen has been serving as a licensed psychologist for the Outpatient Department conducting psychological assessments and psychotherapy for priests, deacons and their spouses, and men and women religious.

In her position as Director, Sister Karen will continue to offer psychological services as well as oversee the daily operation of the Outpatient Department.

Prior to her ministry at the Saint John Vianney Center, Sister Karen served as a staff psychologist at a state hospital in Maine. While missioned in New Mexico, Sister Karen served as the director of a residential treatment facility for Native American adolescents. She also served as a member of a crisis response team in New Mexico.

Sr. Karen earned a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. Sister Karen has 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. Her interests include: psychological assessment, personality disorders, and cultural diversity.

Sister Karen is a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
