Dr. Edward O’Dell has served as a Medical Doctor for the Saint John Vianney Center since 2007. He has been providing patient-centered care for residents who come to the center including physical exams, requesting lab work or referrals to specialists when necessary, helping with prescription maintenance, and monitoring the residents’ condition while they are at the center.
Dr. Edward O’Dell is an internist in the Philadelphia area affiliated with local and regional hospitals including Nazareth Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia, where he was appointed Chief Medical Officer in the fall of 2018. Nazareth Hospital is part of the Mercy Health System, the largest Catholic healthcare system serving the Greater Philadelphia area, and sponsored by Catholic Health Ministries. Nazareth Hospital is a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic.
Dr. O’Dell is board certified and received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His career background is in both hospital and outpatient ambulatory medicine with a special interest in diabetes care and prevention, musculoskeletal injury care and occupational medicine.
