Self care is not being selfish. It is listening to your your mind, body, and spirit as to when you need a break, and then the most important part – tending to it. We all get overwhelmed periodically and allowing time to unwind is beneficial to our health. We can’t care for others if we are not replenishing ourselves. Self care comes in different forms. Keeping a healthy sleep schedule. Moving or exercising for at least 30 minutes per day. Eating a balanced diet and staying hydrated. Walking outside or watching the clouds take on different shapes. Listening to the birds chirp or waves going in and out. Be sure to factor in moments of self-care – for yourself, especially during these summer months. You will feel the difference!
