When the weather heats up, it’s a good time to remember to stay hydrated. According to the University of California-Davis, water is vital to our health and provides both benefits and a key role in many of our body’s functions, including bringing nutrients to cells, getting rid of waste, protecting joints and organs, and maintaining body temperature. Despite there being so many choices of drinks out there and the benefits they advertise, water really is the best choice to staying hydrated.

The amount of water recommended each day is: 13 cups (about 3 liters) for men; 9 cups (just over 2 liters) for women
