Dr. McKinnon serves as a Clinical Psychologist for the Saint John Vianney Center. Her responsibilities include the practice of individual and group psychotherapy, as well as conducting psychological assessments.

In over 15 years of experience, Dr. McKinnon has provided individual, group, and family therapy to a variety of populations across the lifespan in diverse settings, including inpatient, outpatient, in schools, and in client’s homes. She has served as a clinical supervisor to doctorate level students completing their practicum experience and has functioned as a member of a dissertation committee. Dr. McKinnon has also given continuing education workshops on topics such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, recovery concepts, and stress and burnout in clinicians.

Dr. McKinnon earned her Psy.D. and M.S. in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). She earned an M.Ed. in Counseling and Human Services from Lehigh University and a B.A. in Psychology from Albright College.

Areas of clinical interest include life transitions, treatment of anxiety and depression, severe mental illness, and trauma as well as incorporation of Mindfulness into therapy. Dr. McKinnon also has special interest in the treatment and prevention of professional burnout.
