Steven DeMartino

Deacon Steven DeMartino serves as a member of the Saint John Vianney Center Board of Directors and serves on the Professional Services and Governance Committee as Chair.  Deacon Steven is also a professional consultant for SJVC providing religious workshops for Clergy and Religious.

Deacon DeMartino received his graduate degree from the City University of New York Baruch College School of Business and Public Administration Executive Education Program; where his Master’s work focused on leadership development and operations management in faith-based, not-for-profit health and behavioral health treatment organizations. Deacon DeMartino is also trained in psychology, sociology and pastoral counseling; with a specialty in the assessment and care of those suffering from addictive disease disorders.

Deacon DeMartino maintains an active consultation practice; providing varied services to Religious Institutes and Societies of Apostolic Life in the areas of leadership team supervision, strategic planning, health and wellness systems planning and development, behavioral health interventions, and Chapter/Assembly facilitation. Deacon DeMartino is active in board governance, serving on Religious Institute Review Boards and faith-based behavioral health Boards of Directors. Deacon DeMartino teaches counseling theory and practice, and health systems management, in a number of College programs in the NYC area. Finally, Deacon DeMartino maintains a Parish assignment to the Church of St. Augustine, Ossining, New York, where he is the Director of Parish Social Ministries.

Deacon DeMartino is presently the Director of Priest Wellness in the Office of the Vicar for Clergy for the Archdiocese of New York, which is a specialty ministry of healing and accompaniment to the Presbyterate.
