Nancy Santamaria

Nancy Santamaria serves as a member of the Spiritual Care Department for the Saint John Vianney Center meeting with residents to discuss the spiritual aspects of their lives and ministry.

Common themes are their image and relationship with God, vocation story, history in ministry, and how their spirituality informs their life and work, and vice versa. She is keen to address the areas where grief and loss influence the ability to function in the world and to enjoy life. She practices and teaches Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina and the Examen. In addition, Nancy facilitates bereavement support and other prayer groups. Enhanced by her education and experience in the arts, she offers art journaling workshops and embodied prayer.

Nancy Santamaria holds two Masters Degrees, the most recent in Holistic Spirituality from Chestnut Hill College and a certificate in Spiritual Direction, a certificate in Bereavement Care, and experience in Clinical Pastoral Education at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Nancy also serves as the Director of the Saint John Vianney Center Alumni Association.
