World Day of Consecrated Life is Celebrated

Consecrated Life

In anticipation for the World Day of Consecrated Life, the Saint John Vianney Center offered a special blessing at Mass this week for the religious sisters, brothers, and priests who are residents at the Saint John Vianney Center, and those on the staff. Following the Mass a special luncheon was held in honor of these courageous women and men.

The World Day of Consecrated Life, formally celebrated on February 2, 2020, is an opportunity for the Church throughout the world to recognize and support all the women and men who have consecrated their lives to Christ and the work of the Gospel through vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. This day of celebration is a time to give thanks to all the religious sisters, brothers, and priests who minister within our local dioceses and throughout the world.
