SJVC Celebrates National Catholic Sisters Week

In recognition of National Catholic Sisters Week (NCSW), the Saint John Vianney Center honored its women religious in a special blessing by our Chaplain, Fr. Dave Brzoska, at Mass on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 and was commemorated with a cake at lunch to honor all of our religious sisters. Shown here are two of our sisters on staff, Karen Cote, IHM, Psy.D., and Judith Smith, RSM, Psy.D. with their special gift.

This year NCSW was recognized March 8-14, 2023. Its recognition includes:

Celebrating the spirituality, mission, and ministry of women religious and Honoring women religious in their Gospel witness, in the sharing of their spirituality and charisms, and in their care for others.

NCSW began in 2014 to honor women religious, recognize the special work they have done, and spotlight a time for more young women to learn about vocations. It has since become an annual celebration.
