Founder’s Day Celebration

The Saint John Vianney Center held its Annual Founder’s Day Celebration on Friday, September 21, 2018.  This has been the sixth year in a row for this event for all residents and staff.   The SJVC Founder’s Day celebrates our rich history, and it is an opportunity for us to gather together to celebrate our ministry and pray to continue our legacy to serve and meet the needs of the Church.

Founder’s Day began with a beautiful Mass celebrated by Fr. Jim Flavin, President Emeritus, followed by lunch, outdoor games, caricaturists, and live music, along with a ‘wellness walk’ that is kicked off by staff and residents doing the first lap together then walking additional laps as desired.  Each year we strive to exceed the previous years’ lap count in an effort to stay fit and get healthier.

It is a wonderful day to come together for fun, food, and fellowship.  During Founder’s Day, those at Saint John Vianney Center are reminded that it’s a journey through faith, hope, and caring for one another that we all can become the person God wants us to be.
