Melissa Michels serves as a Continuing Care Coordinator for the Saint John Vianney Center where she supports clients in planning and attaining their post-discharge objectives.
Melissa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Behavioral Health from Wilmington University. She completed additional training obtaining certifications in Child Advocacy and Child Welfare research. Melissa has an extensive background working with children & adolescents who have experienced childhood trauma as well as mental health, abuse, and substance issues within the family setting.
Prior to her work at SJVC, she worked as a Casework Specialist within the County’s investigative unit and with several school districts supporting individuals with emotional/behavioral disturbances and mental health concerns.
