Connie Ostap, RD LDN serves as a professional consultant for Saint John Vianney Center. Connie has over twenty-five years of experience as a dietitian. She currently works as a research dietitian for The Center for Human Phenomics Science (CHPS) within Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In this role, she provides a wide range of nutrition-related services to support researchers in study protocols.

Connie previously served as the clinical dietitian for Saint John Vianney Center from 2016-2023. She enhanced the SJVC Weight Management and Wellness program by focusing on educating and motivating residents to make improvements in their health and quality of life through evidence-based behavioral interventions. She introduced facility-wide nutrition promotions and impacted internal menus within a supervisory role to food service, and collaborated with Nursing to deliver a Diabetes Lunch/Learn series for residents.

Connie is available for professional speaking engagements on the topics of Nutrition and Implementing a Healthy and Balanced Lifestyle. She has a keen understanding of the unique challenges facing women and men religious and priests in their daily life. Connie enjoys motivating others with tips to make healthy habits realistic and easy to incorporate.

Ms. Ostap earned her B.S. in Nutrition/Dietetics from Illinois State University and completed an internship at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinic. She holds a Certificate in both Weight Management and Obesity Intervention through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Connie brings a wealth of experience from a variety of settings from her role in research, corporate wellness, classroom education, course development, acute and long-term care, behavioral health care, and her private practice.
