Ann David Strohminger

Sr. Ann David Strohminger serves as a professional consultant for the Saint John Vianney Center providing workshops for Women Religious across the country. Her presentations cover psycho-spiritual integration, applying discernment to everyday living, the sacredness of our bodies, positive psychology, wellness, flourishing, and transition in religious life. Offering practical applications for living life to the fullest, she believes that humor and balance are necessary to live a contemplative life, which is a constant challenge for all active Religious.

Sr. Ann holds a BS in nursing from Neumann University, and an MS in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University, Maryland. She is a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors changes to: She has achieved psychotherapist status through the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education. She is certified in Gestalt Therapy though the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia, Holistic Spiritual Direction from Chestnut Hill College and professional coaching through the International Coaching Federation. She is a member of the National Conference for Vicars for Religious and Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society for nursing. She taught nursing education and was on the faculty for pastoral counseling at the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Philadelphia. She also has ministerial experience in vocation and formation within her congregation.

Sr. Ann is a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. Her current ministry is Delegate for Religious for the Diocese of Wilmington. Prior, she served as a Pastoral Counselor including Director of the Pastoral Counseling Department at the Saint John Vianney Center. She has been affiliated with SJVC since 1986.
